Windows Phone 7 Series heter nästa generations telefonmjukvara från Microsoft och idag har företagets vd Steve Ballmer pratat med media på Mobile World Congress 2010 om vad som komma skall.

En nyhet som vi gillar är att de tar Xbox Live till telefonen. Nu kan man självklart surfa in och göra mycket av detta redan nu bara man kommer åt internet. Men Microsoft kommer också att ta Gamescore till telefonspel, erbjuda turbaserade rollspel och tillgång till exklusivt material. Sedan självklart allt annat, så som leaderboard, din avatar och addera vänner. Telefonerna kommer att börja säljas lagom till julen 2010 - i alla fall i USA.

"Windows Phone 7 Series was built from the ground up with entertainment in mind, and its unique design allowed us to bring some of the best gaming and community features of Xbox LIVE to the Windows mobile platform," said Ron Pessner, general manager of Xbox LIVE Mobile. "It has always been our vision to expand the Xbox LIVE service to connect people to their games, entertainment and friends wherever they go, and the launch of Windows Phone 7 Series is an important step toward that goal."
